Euphony

euphony • \YOO-fuh-nee\

*1 : pleasing or sweet sound; especially : the acoustic effect produced by words so formed or combined as to please the ear
2 : a harmonious succession of words having a pleasing sound

Euphony is a euphony. The word has a soothing sound. In my opinion if a word is a euphony, then you should be able to sing it to a baby and they will fall asleep. Any little catchy nursry rhyme could be considered a euphony also. For example, “Mary Had a Little Lamb.” When done correctly it has a pleasing sound.
