A Whole New Meaning

These images give the saying “My lips are sealed” a whole new meaning. The following are from the website worth1000.com. I have used this site before for my art/image of the week. I enjoy it, and if you haven’t checked it out yet, I encourage you to do so.

These images are from a three-part contest titled "Bad Medicine." I kind of get chills down my spine when I see these. They make my lips hurt. Only if these were real… It may encourage people not to lie if everytime one lied they would have to have their lips sewn shut

Got Knots?

This image is from a website called Worth1000.com. I love to browse through this site in my spare time. You should try it sometime. You may get a couple of kicks, maybe some “awws”, “ewws,” or “I have no idea what that is but I like it’s.” This sight contains photoshop artwork (which is what I enjoy browsing), photography, and multimedia artwork from average people like you and me. The website holds photoshop contests based upon category, and it is judged by the people who browse through. This contest was all about knots. The rules were simple–make something (people, animals, architecture, whatever) into a knot. I enjoy this one. It is very true. I hate interstates, and especially interchanges. A lot of times it can feel like you’re driving through a knot. This highway looks quite distorted. I feel like I could just grab it and yank it tight… then it would be in complete knot.

I love this image. It depicts the stages of life. The first panel is of a boy flying a kite by a small tree at dusk. The next panel, the boy has fallen in love, the tree is larger, and there is also a very tiny tree sprout. In the third panel his loved one (the girl from panel number two) has passed away; pay attention to the tree growth signifying the amount of time that passed. The final panel depicts both of them have passed away. The kite tied to the tree signifies that the life cycle will still continue with another child, who then falls in love, and so on.
